The San Francisco Riptide are now part of the West Bay Lacrosse League

We are pleased to let our families and community know that the Riptide are now part of the new, West Bay Lacrosse League (WBLL)

The Riptide and our fellow, founding member clubs are committed to providing the best possible competitive lacrosse environment for our families. We have joined together as a regional group that includes most of the top clubs in Northern California to create quality competition for our teams during the spring season, while also working together to grow and honor the great sport of lacrosse. Our goals for the league are simple.

  • Play a highly competitive league schedule every spring season.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all local lacrosse clubs and continue to play games against our favorite and most competitive out-of-league opponents
  • Create an end of season NorCal Championship Tournament.
  • Work together to ensure we continue to grow the game and provide our families with the best possible lacrosse experience.
  • U8 and U10B Teams will continue to compete in the Marin League

What does this mean to you as a San Francisco Riptide family?  This is largely an administrative decision, designed to allow our club greater flexibility to provide the best lacrosse to our community, so the impact will be fairly transparent to you, and we will continue to plan and deliver the forthcoming season just as we have in previous years.

Of course there is a great deal of uncertainty with youth sports right now due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  We are working with our fellow league members to deliver a great season, and we will be reporting back with more details as registration and the season takes shape.  However, forming this group of large, highly competitive, and like minded clubs gives us tremendous flexibility to adapt to whatever landscape we need to deal with in the new year.

Members of the West Bay Lacrosse League:

  • Ross Valley Grizzlies
  • Southern Marin Wolfpack
  • Novato Nighthawks
  • Firehawks Lacrosse Club
  • San Francisco Riptide
  • Coyotes Lacrosse Club
  • West Valley Redhawks
