The San Francisco Lacrosse Club will be conducting evaluations (how we determine team placements for players and families new to Riptide) differently this year. We will be offering 6 weeks of stick work and conditioning sessions for players registered for the 2021 Spring Season. During this 6-week period, we will gather the data we need to determine team placements. We will assign pods based on current knowledge of ability, including parent report during registration (beginner, intermediate, advanced). You can find the schedule below.

We are pleased to let our families and community know that the Riptide are now part of the new, West Bay Lacrosse League (WBLL)
The Riptide and our fellow, founding member clubs are committed to providing the best possible competitive lacrosse environment for our families. We have joined together as a regional group that includes most of the top clubs in Northern California to create quality competition for our teams during the spring season, while also working together to grow and honor the great sport of lacrosse. Our goals for the league are simple.
What does this mean to you as a San Francisco Riptide family? This is largely an administrative decision, designed to allow our club greater flexibility to provide the best lacrosse to our community, so the impact will be fairly transparent to you, and we will continue to plan and deliver the forthcoming season just as we have in previous years.
Of course there is a great deal of uncertainty with youth sports right now due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We are working with our fellow league members to deliver a great season, and we will be reporting back with more details as registration and the season takes shape. However, forming this group of large, highly competitive, and like minded clubs gives us tremendous flexibility to adapt to whatever landscape we need to deal with in the new year.
Members of the West Bay Lacrosse League:
We are committed to teaching the sport of lacrosse to all ages of boys and girls in the city of San Francisco. Our goal is to instill within our players a respect and love of the game, as well as an appreciation of the skills and teamwork needed to succeed on the field. Our coaches share a passion for the sport and love to teach and inspire players in developing their lacrosse skills. They are dedicated to creating an atmosphere of learning, fun and mutual support of all players.
Coach Christmas is an All American and National Champion from University Virginia who went on to play Major League Lacrosse at two different clubs. Coach Christmas is regarded as one of the best technical coaches in the Bay Area and we are honored to have him working with our members.
Coach Deemer Class joined Riptide for an afternoon of specialty shooting instruction. Coach Class is an All American and National Champion from Duke University, and is currently playing in the Premier Lacrosse League for Chaos. He is considered one of the top shooting instructors in the game.
We are lucky that both were able to attend our camp, and look forward to more great instruction for our players in the future.
