San Francisco Riptide

We strongly encourage players to continue building their lacrosse skills in the off-season and so are providing the following list of summer camps.  As a club, we do not endorse any particular camp and believe each camp has its unique strengths. Many of these camps have a long history in the Bay Area.  They range in location including San Francisco, Marin, East Bay and the Peninsula, with several offering both day and overnight camps.  Most if not all boast an impressive list of coaches from highly regarded college and university lacrosse programs across the US.  

There are many factors to consider in choosing a camp for your child.  Here are a few considerations that come to mind:  1) the size of the group, 2) are groups organized by ability or years of playing experience, 3) coach to player ratio, 4) are the groups broken out by position to help players refine their skills at Attack, Middie, Defense, & Goalie,  5) if new to the game, how do coaches guide a player in choosing a position, 6) the quality of the coaching staff, credentials, prior youth coaching experience, etc.,  and 7) general word of mouth on the overall experience - is it fun and instructive.  It is incumbent upon each family to do the necessary research and due diligence to match a camp with your son or daughter’s current abilities, needs and interests.
