San Francisco Riptide

Welcome to the Home Page of the San Francisco Lacrosse Club, also known as the San Francisco Riptide.   Our mission is simply to help boys and girls develop a love for the game of lacrosse.  In addition to developing their lacrosse skills, we hope that our players come away with an appreciation of teamwork and mutual respect, skills that are important both on and off the field.  Getting kids excited about lacrosse is largely dependent on our coaching staff and so we strive to hire the very best, coaches with strong lacrosse credentials who enjoy sharing their passion for the sport with kids.  We also believe that making lacrosse accessible to all kids, regardless of financial circumstances, is important for the growth of the sport and enriches the overall experience for players, coaches and families. 

  NOTE:   Kimball Field, a newly renovated field at Geary & Steiner, is turf.  Practice is on rain or shine!  Hamilton Field is across the street from Kimball, on the N side of Geary at Scott.  Beach Chalet is on JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park, near the windmill, W of the Polo Fields

Registration for the Spring 2012 lacrosse season is now open for new and returning players!  Click on the link below to register now.

Participation in our club is open to boys in 1st grade to high school and to girls in 1st grade to 8th grade.  US Lacrosse and the NCJLA have adopted new age groups for 2012.  Team eligibility is based on the player's birthdate, as follows:
